About Will Seelig
For 15 years I worked for one of the leading Music Technology Magazines in the world.
First, as a DVD Editor commissioning monthly sample packs, writing features and album reviews as well as reviewing 1000s of demos and remix competition entries. I then went on to create video content for the brand in the form of the ‘In The Studio With’ series.
From that, I launched their YouTube channel with a weekly content schedule of exclusive new videos and gaining over 200,000 subscribers. During this time, our team of 3 published 13 videos per month, varying in length from 10 minutes to 2 hours; all were location based shoots across the UK, Europe and the US. We also created and hosted content for commercial partnerships.
I have created and developed content and production schedules to enable a small team to produce high volume quality video to tight budgets and timeframes, that suit the YouTube online video environment.
I also have extensive experience of covering trade shows for online media outlets. This involved everything from on the show floor fast coverage, to more detailed and exclusive product demos in pop-up studios created on site. I have worked both on my own and as part of a large team of videographers, editors and sales teams. I understand the necessary workflow to be able to create timely online news coverage at trade show events.
All of these experiences have enabled me to understand what makes good video for both the client and the audience, how to realise ideas and concepts while managing budget and time restrictions and how to best use video in a social media context.
